Call 1990 for an ambulance anywhere in Sri Lanka. The service began in July 2016 and now covers the whole island, with close to 300 ambulances based at police stations; it is free to use, and the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority lists it as the ambulance number for visitors. The 1990 app sends your location with one press. For the police, call 119; for tourism help, the SLTDA hotline is 1912.
