Pidurangala Rock
View of Sigiriya

About Pidurangala Rock
Pidurangala, the rock just north of Sigiriya, has a Buddhist temple at its base and a cave with a reclining Buddha on the way up. The last stretch is a scramble over boulders, and the reward is the classic view of Sigiriya rock across the forest. It is popular at sunrise. Dress modestly at the temple (cover shoulders and knees).
