About The Parliament complex by Geoffrey Bawa
The Parliament complex at Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, on the edge of Colombo, was designed by Geoffrey Bawa and completed in 1982. Its pavilions, with copper roofs that echo traditional temple and palace architecture, rise from an island in the Diyawanna Oya lake. It is a working building, not a tourist site: admire the architecture from the lakeside paths and parks around the lake.
