About Ministry of Crab
Ministry of Crab put Sri Lankan lagoon crab on the world map. Chef Dharshan Munidasa opened it with two of the country’s best-loved cricketers in the arcaded Old Dutch Hospital in Colombo Fort, and it has since appeared on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Crabs are sold by size, up to the giant “Crabzilla”, cooked in garlic chilli, pepper or curry sauces, with freshwater prawns as the other star. It is popular with visitors and locals alike, so reserve.
