About Galle lighthouse and Flag Rock
The white lighthouse stands on the ramparts at the south-eastern corner of the Fort, near the Meeran Mosque. A short walk west is Flag Rock, the bastion where signals once warned ships of the rocks. Come at sunset, when the walls fill with families, cricket players and photographers.
