About Negombo fish market
Negombo has been a fishing town for centuries, and the fish market near the lagoon mouth is where the catch is sold. Come early in the morning, when the boats come in, to see the auctions, and walk along the beach where fish are laid out to dry in the sun. Wear closed shoes and ask before you photograph people.
